Galaxy Note 7 With 6GB RAM & 128GB Memory Could Cost $912 in China

Most of our readers might remember that the Galaxy Note 7 was rumored to pack 6GB of RAM, but when Samsung made it official earlier this month, a few of us were slightly disappointed to hear that the international Galaxy Note 7 will “only” include 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. However, since a number of Chinese Android flagship smartphones feature 6GB of RAM, Samsung may have decided that it needs to offer a 6GB Galaxy Note 7 variant in China if it wants the phablet to enjoy great success in the country. With China being the world’s largest smartphone market, Samsung would obviously not want to take any chances.
The 6GB RAM variant to be sold in China will come with dual SIM card slots, like pretty much any other flagship smartphone sold in China. However, Samsung is using a hybrid slot tray on the device, so you will not be able to expand the memory further with a microSD card. This isn’t likely to be a major issue though, as 128GB of built-in storage should be adequate even for power users. As for availability, the source of the info points to August 26th as being the day pre-orders kick off in China. Wider availability is slated for September 2, so buyers in China will need to wait close to a month to get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
