Vodafone launches Bada Data Chota Price starting at Rs 24

In the first of what are likely to be a series of changes to consolidate and gain subscribers, Vodafone, yesterday introduced Bada Data Chota Price which is a series of low price data pack starting at Rs 24 with a validity of 30 days varying from circle to circle. Having said that, surprisingly, the company has not released information about what the data packs in different circles would be. Neither does the Vodafone website has any mention of it.

Sandeep Kataria, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India said, "We are democratizing data by making it more affordable and accessible. This is key to driving usage and encouraging first-time users to come online. We are confident that our Bada Data Chota Price packs will empower our hundreds of million customers to remain confidently connected for the full month and enjoy the power of internet via the mobile on our modern and seamless network."

Telecom operators like Vodafone, Airtel and Idea have been on their toes ever since Reliance Jio was made commercial back in September 2016. Further, this move might as well be a consequence of Reliance Jio's announcement yesterday in which Mr. Mukesh Ambani extended the free Welcome Offer to 31st March 2017.
