SAMSUNG GEAR FIT 2

Samsung's dedicated activity tracker, the Gear Fit, was released a couple of years ago and, by today's standards, definitely needs a refresh. We've been hearing rumors, reports, and even gotten wind of a few, supposedly official, press renders for an upcoming Gear Fit 2, which is said to up the ante with its own GPS and noticeably better specs.

Today, SamMobile, which is usually pretty on-point with its Samsung rumors, claims to have gotten a hold of all the specs for the upcoming Gear Fit 2. The new tracker is expected to rock a 1.55-inch curved Super AMOLED display with a 216 x 432 pixel resolution, and be powered by a Samsung-made, 1 GHz, dual-core processor and 512 MB of RAM. It's storage chip will only have 2 GB of space and we assume those would only be used for apps and fitness data recording. The software on board is, of course, Samsung's own Tizen, while the lights will be kept on by a 200 mAh battery. IP 68 certification is also present, guaranteeing the device would be able to survive for 30 minutes a 1.5 meters under water.
